Creation Care Gathering…
I’ve had multiple opportunities the past few weeks to be a part of some gatherings that I believe will have incredible impact on the Crossings community in the days to come. One such event was this afternoon entitled a ‘Creation Care Gathering’ put together by LEAF (Lindquist Environmental Appalachian Fellowship).
Matthew Sleeth, author of ‘Serve God, Save the Planet’, was the main speaker sharing his story and his experiences with the topic of Creation Care.

The day also included Knoxville Mayor Bill Haslem and City Councilman Chris Woodhull sharing some of the things that are happening in Knoxville in terms of caring for creation.
(By the way, earlier today, Knoxville was named as one of the 12 cities selected by the Department of Energy to participate in the 2008 Solar America Cities program.)
Today was another great opportunity to learn and grow and meet some leaders from around the city.
