Nick, Nora and Bill…
I was able to catch two movies in the past week…Nick & Nora’s Infinite Playlist (while I was at Catalyst), and my son and I saw Religulous on Saturday.I thoroughly enjoyed Nick and Nora’s, (as did Bill & Pervis). It was a great movie. It’s a movie about right decision making and learning to take steps away from things that will never seem to let you go, (when in actuality all you had to do is walk away). And it’s about New York City.
On Religulous…I didn’t care for it, and not for the reasons you might expect. The premise of exploring different faiths, trying to poke holes in them…that part wasn’t great, but honestly, the questions and doubt don’t bother me.
I felt it was somewhat unfair, in the sense that they didn’t interview anyone that remotely seemed to represent the Jesus I follow, (I guess I shouldn’t have expected fair, but I did). Also, I felt a great sense of pity for Bill Mahrer. He seems to be such an incredibly bitter man when it comes to issues of religion. Bitterness can be such a blinder to truth…

let me get this straight ... 3 guys are out on an event together, find some spare time, and decide to go see "nick and nora's infinite playlist" together?
did Appaloosa, Eagle Eye, or Body of Lies weigh in at all? and was this before or after you discovered that "Beverly Hills Chihuahua" was sold out?- at 1:22 PM Mark Nelson said...

I'll never forget that time in high school that Mark and I caught a midnight screening of "Sleepless in Seattle".
Good times.
