A stop in Nashville…
I arrived a couple of hours ago in Evansville, Indiana (evidently the hottest place on the earth at the moment). I’m here for the National Student Conference, (I’ll write more about that tomorrow)On the way to this Hoosier Funland, I stopped by and spent about 45 minutes with the Steiner family near Nashville.
Paul, Abigail, Kadison, Kenyon, & Leyton are dear friends of ours ministering in Dublin, Ireland. They are back in the states for a few weeks, and this is the first time we’ve been able to hook up since they’ve been back.
I could fill about a month’s worth of blogs with stories of life and ministry with Paul. We grew up in the same town, he was my intern/slave for two summers while he was in college, and Paul and Abigail were in campus ministry at Indiana U while we were at Purdue.
It was so incredibly good to see everyone. This was the first time to ever see Leyton, he was born in Ireland. (Did I mention his middle name is Mark)

The summer I became a Christian, Paul took me water skiing and I thought he was the greatest. He was solid at b-ball, too, if I remember correctly. Paul and Doug always kicked the youth's butts.

Come on Mark, it's not that bad in Evansville. You could be in.....uh.. err....well, actually you are right. It is that bad.
I look forward to hearing more about that conference. I am sending one niece to the campus church at USI next year and then one to PCCH the next.
I feel old.
