Heading home from the Apple...
We’re leaving for home in just about 10 minutes…we’ve had a fantastic trip, but I am thoroughly exhausted. No worries, only 13 hours on the road today…
Yesterday was an absolute blast…it was a day spent in Manhattan doing whatever we wanted. My sons, Bill, Philip & I played disc golf at New York’s only course in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park…the girls did Chinatown, Little Italy, etc…ate pizza for lunch and dinner (there’s nothing like Ray’s Pizza)…a quick trip to Central Park (my favorite place in the whole city)…and then the incredible culmination, a show on Broadway, actually two: 3 went to see ‘The Color Purple’ and 7 of us saw ‘Spamalot’.
I’ll try to give more details about things we did, including working with a little with Forefront Church in Manhattan (another NTN church) after I get home and get some rest.
As tired as I am though, I can’t wait to get back to Crossings…we’re beginning a series entitled “The Words I Wish Jesus Hadn’t Said” this week…
