Sunday in the City...
We’re having a great time in NYC…Spent most the day yesterday at the Church there in Hollis.
Our group did a joint Sunday School hour focused on the kids called “Pirates of the Caring Being”, as well as the children’s small groups during worship. I spoke during the adults worship, and as always, it’s so good to be with everyone here in Queens, such dear people.
The largest Chinese spread ever known to man was followed by some serious napping by most.
We also did the evening service there at the church. Again, a great time. I’m teaching through a 3 part series called Eyes Wide Open. (It’s similar to something we’ve recently discussed at Crossings)
The day was culminated with a drive into Manhattan and a quick tour of that part of the city. It is a definite rush driving a 15 passenger through Times Square.
One thing I do know for sure, I have never seen people laugh as loud and as hard as I did last night about midnight in the van on the way out of Manhattan. People were wailing and crying. I’m sure their ribs will hurt this morning from all the laughing.
