Sometimes Saturdays are better than Sundays…
This past Saturday we had a great gathering of leaders at our monthly Leadership Community. It’s always a highlight of the month for me as we get together with our leaders throughout the Crossings community to take care of each other, cast vision, and keep looking to what God has for us next.
We had over 60 people gather this past Saturday at the site of our new worship/office venue, 4 Market Square. What an incredibly place this will be for us…
I’ve seen the construction come along for the last few months, but most of our people had not. Most hadn’t been in the building since we announced we were going there last December, so needless to say, the excitement was great for the tours.
But even more than the excitement of the new building was, for me, the stories and ‘wins’ that were shared throughout the morning as we are finding our way back to God.
We watched a condensed version of Craig Groeschel’s talk at Leadership Summit at Willow Creek about churches that have ‘IT’. The discussion afterwards of the ‘IT’ of Crossings was so very encouraging and powerful.
It was also good having Dave Dummit from 2/42 Community Church near Detroit, a fellow ‘New Thing Networker’ visiting with us for the weekend.
By the way...we announced on Saturday our first day in 4 Market Square will be January 11th...
