Gatlinburg & Gilead...

I leave tomorrow around noon for a day and a half retreat with some of my best friends in all the world. And in my best Chandler Bing imitation, “Could I BE more excited…”

Somehow, (I’m still not sure how this all worked out) Jim Schmotzer (Bellingham, WA), Tim Sutherland (Naperville, IL), Rob Schrumpf (West Lafayette, IN), Alan Bradford (Maryville, TN), Steve Moore (Lexington, KY) and myself are meeting up in the Smoky Mountains to talk about life, and family, and God, and book that we all read, Gilead by Marilynne Robinson. (It’s a Pulitzer Prize winner)…

…and here’s the best part, it’s all sponsored and paid for by Asbury Theological Seminary, (I believe it’s part of a Lily Grant Endowment).

Maybe we’ll all go down to Gatlinburg while we’re there and get matching airbrush T-Shirts…
