A great first day...
If you check our website, crossingsknoxville.com, you’ll see a running countdown to launch. As of this morning we’re are at 26 days, 16 hours, 48 minutes and 27 seconds…It’s an unbelievably exciting time…
Yesterday, we had our first Sunday morning in the Down Town West Theatre, our home for our worship gatherings. About 10 people showed up at 7am to began learning the process of set up.
At about 9am, 50 others from our Launch Community gathered together for the tour…
I felt like a museum guide leading everyone around the entire theatre showing them where Kids’ City check in will be, where the hospitality area will be, etc…all we needed were those walkmans and headphones with a voice leading you around.
We then divided up in areas of leadership- arts, Kids’ City, hospitality, aesthetics, etc. –and spent time talking ‘Sunday gathering time expectations’ for each area. It was so good to see the excitement and enthusiasm to serve and to lead.
We finished off the morning by gathering in our Kids’ City theatre for a little BVD time (Beliefs, Values, Dreams) and then shared together the common meal remembering Jesus.
It was a great, great day…I wish you could have been there.
Below are some pictures…

I'm so sorry I missed it! Tim was more than excited about it, and I wish I was feeling better to have been there. There's always next week!
