You need people like this...(Chapter 1)

Crossings has been very blessed in the sense that West Towne CC has allowed us to maintain office space at their place until the time comes we can actually secure our own.

For the past few weeks the office, already full of desks, books, files, etc. has been slowly being filled with boxes and tubs, new deliveries almost everyday of something we’ve purchased for the launch of Crossings, just 28 days away.

Each morning we roll everything into another room so we can actually sit at a desk, and then roll it back in at the end of the day, it is our daily game of Tetris.

Well, yesterday at our office, was a little like Christmas morning all over again especially for two specific people, Matt Bullard and Lyle Bennett.

Matt is our “Sound Guru”, and Lyle our “Logistics Engineer Extraordinaire” and yesterday morning we began opening and unwrapping all this equipment, not just sound stuff but Kid’s City purchases, Hospitality purchases, etc.

Not only did we unwrap, we also spent the entire day figuring out how everything is going to fit in the 6 portable church crates we received this week (which are Lyle’s personal favorites) and how we need to pack the crates, unload the crates, and how we can make sure everything gets where it needs to get each and every Sunday morning. My job was to make sure I didn’t get in their way, as well as to break down all the empty boxes and take them to the trash. I think I did okay.

The unbelievable expertise that Matt & Lyle has brought to Crossings is far greater and more encompassing and comforting than I could have ever imagined.

I have no idea how we would survive and be ready to help people find their way back to God without Matt & Lyle.

When it comes to church planting, you need people like this…
