Entering into the story……

In the three and a half years that Crossings has existed we have, as a community, grown and matured greatly by entering into a book of scripture for long periods of time. It’s not a common approach for a young church, but I think it works for us.

We’ve spent 26 weeks in the story of Jesus from John, 21 weeks studying Genesis, 15 weeks in Romans and 12 weeks wrestling with the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7) this past spring.

This Sunday we begin another journey as a community…The Story of Exodus

We have been prepping and planning and reading and strategizing and creating for the past few weeks now. I think we’re ready and incredibly excited. Especially me. It’s kind of hard to describe the excitement that I feel going into a series like this. We truly journey together in a book…we wrestle, learn, and grow together. It is without a doubt the way I learn best.

I find myself telling people everywhere that we’re starting Exodus this Sunday…whether they go to Crossings or not, it’s kind of weird. I’ll be in a conversation and before I know it I’m describing how I’m going to approach the whole study…My doctor was the latest victim earlier today.

By the way, we have a reading plan on our web site, if you’re interested, that will take you along with us as we study… Click here

I often look back fondly at our epic journey through John at WTCC on I don't know how many Sunday mornings. Ah, good times...
