Visiting Reunion…

We arrived in Boston on Saturday evening, a 5 hour trip turned into a 6 hour trip thanks to a detour to Roseto, PA (I’m glad they’re a healthy, low stressed community…because there’s not too much else exciting about that little borough.)

Sunday morning we visited with our New Thing Network friends at Reunion Christian Church in the Back Bay area of Boston. It was good to see Hank, Tim, Phil and others… They began, for the first time, the series My Most Important Question. I did the teaching and had a great time sharing from Mark 9, Luke 24, and Frederick Buechner. (Crossings actually began the same series yesterday with Bill teaching. It’s our third summer of MMIQ)

After watching Spain win the World Cup…(By the way, I will miss the World Cup greatly, hard to believe we have to wait 4 years)…we hopped on the ‘T’ (subway) and visited Harvard Square. It was a beautiful night, with a cool breeze blowing, what a great night to walk around Harvard University and the neighborhoods surrounding it. One of my favorite bookstores of all time is there, The Harvard Coop.

Off to Faneuil Hall, Boston Common and the North End today…Pizza with the Hawkins family tonight...
