A good ending, a good beginning…
Sunday at Crossings was a really good day…
We had a great ending of a teaching series called “The Things I Wish Jesus Never Said”.
This last week, from Mark 10, we entered into the story of Jesus telling the young man who had done pretty much everything right his whole life to ‘sell everything and follow me’ that was the ‘one thing he lacked’.
It was, in many ways, a great way to culminate the entire 7-week series. All the words of Jesus we studied during this series called for us to ‘let go’ of something…Not so much that we don’t own anything, but that nothing can own us.
We had a good beginning of the school year. This is the first week the county schools and colleges were all back and the number of people who gathered reflected that. 227 came together in our faith community Sunday and about 140 hung around at a local park afterwards to each some Jersey Mike’s Subs together and play a little Cornhole & Bocce.
A good day.

i wouldn't have thought it possible, but i may actually be sore from playing cornhole. must be something to do with the bending of my legs on every throw, cuz my hamstrings are killing me. maybe i'm just getting old. yeah, that's probably it. old. and sore.

well, my fingers have been sore before from gripping my steering wheel so hard...due to the incredible intensity of listening/singing along with Michael Jackson songs in my car. does that count?
