Prayer, Faith & Studio 60...
I have enjoyed the show Studio 60 since it began in September. Evidently, I was one of the few. It was canceled a few weeks ago, but the remaining episodes that had been filmed have been on the last few Thursday nights.
A week or so ago I watched the episode entitled “K & R”. The last 5 minutes were tremendous.
Especially the scene between Harriet & Matt. Harriet is a believer in Jesus much ridiculed for her faith, and Matt is not a believer and one of the main participants in the ridiculing.
The characters have dated off and on over the past few years…and the scene that to me was so good is when Matt comes upon Harriet praying.
Below is a You Tube post of the last 6:55 of the show. (If you’re in a real hurry just watch beginning at 3:20.)
So you know, there are flashback elements to the scene over the past few years of their relationship.

I can not cry because my bad eye doesn't let me, but I loved when she says, "I love you and it is ok you are hidden"...is the love you, the acceptance, the Grace....beautiful...

I agree. I think the hype was so big for this show, Aaron Sorkin didn't really have a chance to do anything but try and live up to West Wing (which no show will be able to do).
There have been several moments of brilliance in Studio 60. It's been nice to finish the season.- at 10:01 AM said...
Last night's "K&P, Pt.III" was amazing as well! Harriet's defense of her faith is something that should be picked up by all followers. She doesn't know all the answers and doesn't claim to to, but her faith is never stronger than while she's humbly loving Danny during their conversation. She also taught me something about faith when, after Danny walks away angry at God, she turns to the heavens and says, "He makes some pretty reasonable points." Even as a follwer of Jesus I don't know everything about my faith, and sometimes I feel like those without Christ make some pretty valid points, BUT I'M STILL FAITHFUL. That's the beauty of the mystery of Christ, and that's the beauty of Harriet.
