Poets, Prophets & Preachers, part I…
I just returned from the Poets, Prophets & Preachers gathering in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Some of my favorite parts of the trip…
-Downtown Grand Rapids was amazing. It was gorgeous. Probably my admiration for the city was aided by 72 degree and sunny weather with no humidity. The downside is, as my friend Tim said, ‘They probably only have 6 days like this a year in Grand Rapids’.-Spending time with some good friends I’ve haven’t seen in a long time…(Former youth groupers- Jeph Hurst, Craig Bell; Former Crossings people- Tim & Courtney Fair; My dear friend Tim Sutherland)
-We got in 1 ½ rounds of disc golf…finishing one round at 10:15 pm (some use the phrase ‘an unhealthy obsession’ about right here)
-Got to stop and see the Schrumpfs and Purdue Christian Campus House’s Greyhouse in West Lafayette. Wow, amazing, unbelievable… You have got to see this place... Greyhouse Coffee & Supply Co.
-Oh yeah, and I gave Bill & Mike (staff from Crossings) a little tour, (actually two little tours) of the one and only Brookston, Indiana. Home of our favorite house in the world…

Notes from the actually conference in my next post…
