A Great German Emergence…

We are reading Phyllis Tickle’s book ‘The Great Emergence’ in our Panera Book Club this summer. Just started last week.

(I know some of you, after reading that first sentence, are already posting a negative response. It’s okay, I still love you.)

Well, the first day of discussion led us to chat about our dislike for the battle lines that have been drawn over the words ‘emergent’ or ‘emergence’ and what they’ve come to represent.

Then today I received from my friend Jim Schmotzer a link to this video…it’s pretty stinking funny, even if you don’t know every name that’s mentioned.

that comes from a website where you can add your own subtitles to clips.

There was a really famous version of that video where they were talking about Phil Fulmer and John Chavis.

okay, it's been 40 days. You can blog again. You realize Lent was like, in March, right?

Also, I'm deleting you from all my links... no dead blogs... that's a standing rule.
