Taste of Small Groups…
Yesterday at Crossings we hosted our very first ‘Taste of Small Groups’…
After worship we had set up in the lobby little tables…each table hosted by a small group leader and offering food that fit the theme of their small group. The leaders were available at each table to answer questions about their type of group.We didn’t necessarily encourage people to sign up for a group this week…only to get a ‘taste’. Most sign ups will happen over the next three weeks.
Some clarification, each small group didn’t set up a table, only the different types of small groups…The different types were: Couples, Girls only, Guys only, two different types of Arts group, Panera Book Discussion, and a Church Planting group.
(I think we stole this idea from somewhere, but I can’t remember who, so sorry I can’t give credit where credit is due…)
It was a tremendous thing for our community…Monica, my beautiful wife and our small groups pastor, did an amazing job putting this all together, and the leaders put so much time into prepping their table and putting creative food together and connecting with people who had interest in small groups.
