As a family, we agree with Augustine…
“The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.” -St. AugustineWe get home tomorrow evening…it’s been a wonderful two weeks together…(Monica was actually discussing the feasibility of living in a hotel permanently earlier today, we decided against it…for now.)
Some final highlights…

Five days with our dear friends, Jim & Connie Schmotzer in Bellingham…

The Schmotzers took us to the San Juan Islands…

…and Deception Pass

Two days in Vancouver…a great city…saw some cricket & rugby…(Canadian Hotels suck though)

...saw Reed College in Portland…(that college Don Miller talks about in Blue Like Jazz)

And the last three days in beautiful Seattle…(we especially loved the Freemont area and the huge REI Store)

...and also in Seattle, something called 'Experience Music Project'. Matthew was in heaven...

And finally, over the past couple of weeks…7 rounds of Disc Golf…including these baskets, the weirdest things we’ve ever seen on a course…
Back to the Augustine quote…it’s been a great chapter, full of rest and laughter and playing and a lot of Quizno’s subs. I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Jeph...the weird part was that they had put chains around the metal in different angles on every basket...they were really hard to play. You had make sure you didn't land on one side or another or you couldn't go straight in the basket...definitely crazy...
