Road Trip to “Nashvegas”…

My sons and I took advantage of the MLK holiday to take a little road trip to Nashville the past couple of days.

After watching some exciting football at the Motel 6 on Sunday night, we made the rounds at about a half of dozen guitar stores today, (Matthew searched for and found a new bass guitar he had been saving Christmas and Birthday money to buy)

We also found time to try out a new disc golf course on the north side of the city…11 over, not a good day on the course.

Nashville is a fascinating city in many ways. Obviously it just seeps and oozes with of country music. They also seem to lay claim somewhat to Elvis, although Memphis would probably fight them on that one…

We drove through Music Row on Sunday night as well as catching a late night view of Nashville’s very own Parthenon, (there’s nothing like mixing ancient Greek architecture with Conway Twitty)

As always, it was great time with my sons. Man, I love those boys…
