And all the people said...
Last week I posted some responses to the question: “After 12 weeks what does this baby look like? What does is faith community we call Crossings consist of, what qualities and characteristics are rising to the top?Last week I gave you the answers from our Lead Team (a group of about 8 leaders). This week I want to give you the answers that our Leadership Community (a group of 30-40) gave to the question this past Saturday morning.
After 12 weeks, some words that defines this faith community:
-acceptanceAt the end of the discussion, Anyssa Blackburn said, “Hmmm, you know what, everyone of these answers…you could say “that is what Jesus is”.
- real
- caring
- sense of humor
- extremely energetic
- focus on the positive (celebrates wins)
- equality/respect
- careful of our language not to exclude
- inquisitive
- unity, connectedness
- safe place
- a place where individual gifts are needed
- beehive effect (integrated & holistic)
- if we err, we err on the side of grace
- relaxed (you can come as you are)
- a real family
- ownership
- all about people, not programs
- we feel we are right where we are supposed to be (numbers and beyond)
- foundation, foundation, foundation
- we get the mission: helping people find their way back to God – (we continue to hear the whisper of God in our ear, reminding of us of His desires)

is that photo from crossings? there must be 200+ people!! i had no idea things were booming like that. i know you're not a "numbers" guy, but that crowd of pray-ers is exciting!!!
