In Orlando...
My sincere apologies for not having posted for a week. It’s been incredibly busy the last week. We arrived in Orlando today for the National New Church Conference. Because we are here through Thursday evening we had to spend last week preparing two weeks, hence the lack of stimulating blog thoughts…
We’re incredibly excited to be here at the conference (My wife Monica and our Worship/Arts guy Bill are with me). It was at this conference a year ago that we had a late night conversation with New Thing Network & Community Christian Church that was the beginning of Crossings.
You just never know what God is up to.
We came last year for no other reason than I had some conference money to use, some good friends were planning on attending, and it was in Orlando (Adidas outlets everywhere). Somewhere between a meal at House of Blues and a purchase of some bright red shoes God gave us an opportunity for which we are eternally grateful.
This year we come to learn, be challenged, see the passion for church planting come alive in 1,800 people, spend time with good friends, and hopefully get in a round of disc golf.
May we be as sensitive and open to God this year as last.

If you find any even remotely cool adidas shoes in an 11 mens, please snatch 'em up and I'll pay you back. Can't believe with all the crap they have in Sevierville, there's no adidas outlet. Have fun in Disneytown!

That's a great reminder of what God is up to all the time and we just don't know it. Who knew that during that time there was this woman in Carol Stream, IL joking to God that if he wanted CCC to start a church in Knoxville, she wouldn't complain. ;) ha!
Hope ya'll have a great time.
