12 week checkup...
This past week at Crossings was week 12.It’s been 12 weeks since the launch of this faith community.
3 months.
84 days.
(deep breath and a sigh)
I had a meeting with some leaders last night and we spent some high quality time discussing these questions: Can you define Crossings’ DNA after 12 weeks? Are we staying true to God’s vision & dream that we believe He has for Knoxville? Is everything we do continually going through the sifter of ‘helping people find their way back to God’?
Here are some of the answers to these questions of how this 12 week old baby is doing…
- …Each week we show up and are pleasantly surprised by who we are becoming
- …We are not just a group of people made up of people who didn’t like their ‘other’ church
- …Each week we’re meeting new people who have had no contact with faith for a very long time
- ….This baby has a strong heartbeat, and is looking pretty darn good, especially for your age
- …Small groups are so healthy
- …(in reference to one of our leaders) She has come back to life.
- …We are all being brought back to God
