Just one of those Sundays…
It’s 7am on a Sunday morning…and I’m sitting at my desk in our offices writing a blog post. This is not my normal Sunday morning routine. Usually at this point, I’m doing one last run through of the teaching for the day, go over power point changes, etc.Behold the Lamb, the unbelievable musical written by Andrew Peterson, is a 45-minute listening extravaganza that will be performed at both worship gatherings this morning at Crossings. Some of our musicians, some musicians from West Towne CC, and some other local musicians have been rehearsing for a few weeks to ready themselves to perform both last week at West Towne and this morning at Crossings.
Today will be a celebration of the arts in our community (something we want to do every week), the creativity in the Kingdom of God (thanks to Andrew Peterson; And thanks to all the talented musicians sound checking below me on the first floor right this moment), and today, as always, is a celebration of the unbelievable ‘old, old story of the power of death undone, by an infant born of glory’. It’s just one of those Sundays…
