Free tickets = a little bit of baseball heaven

Yesterday afternoon, around 4:30, after a second afternoon workshop here at CCDA in Chicago, Jon Ferguson called me over and with his hand covering his mouth so no one would hear him, he whispered something to me…I couldn’t tell what he was saying.

He said it again…I still couldn’t understand. Finally, I heard the word ‘Cubs’…then ‘tickets’…then ‘bleachers’…then ‘tonight’…then, and probably the best of all the whispering, ‘FREE’.

Needless to say, it didn’t take me long to answer…

As good as I’m sure the main session was Wednesday night at CCDA, there was no way we weren’t going to say ‘yes’ to those whisperings.

We rode the train to the Addison stop (which stops 100 yards from Wrigley), had dinner there in Wrigleyville, and Michael Sawyer bought himself a hat.

It was a great time, a beautiful night…and of course…the Cubs lost.

Oh well…just the ‘little boy look’ in Mike’s eyes was worth it all…

to say I'm jealous would be an understatement...
