The BIG issue of CCDA…

It’s been overwhelming obvious THE issue at this year’s CCDA…

Every speaker, every video, every film…in some ways or others there has been that link to the issue of immigration each and every time we’ve gathered for a main session...

Is immigration the ‘civil rights’ of our generation? Will we look back on this era of the church and ask ‘what we’re we thinking when it came to immigration? (those were some of the questions that Troy Jackson was asking in his workshop today)?

If so where do we begin the conversation? Who are we in the conversation? (those are from Daniel Carroll R. this morning at a main session)

Those questions are a few of the dozens that are in my head, that I am wrestling with when it comes to this issue of immigration…and because much of what I do on Sunday mornings at Crossings is to wrestle things out through scripture in the context of community, it’s going to have be something, at some point that our faith community will wrestle through. God help us.
