Have we forgotten...
Also, from our ‘YAWP’ series…Maybe a part of the energetic power of the church is lost because we keep inviting people to step into the safety, comfort and security of Jesus. We keep telling them that Jesus is going to bless you and bless you and bless you and give you more and more and more and just absolutely take care of you in all the ways you want in your materialistic, self-centered, ego-centric self…
And maybe we need to take a step back and say, “It’s really not about you. Jesus Christ is worth dying for…He wants you to throw yourself at His feet and it is worth it cause it is more powerful and more fulfilling to follow Jesus Christ than to live a life with everything in this world without Jesus Christ. Have we forgotten that? (Erwin McManus)
