“Welcome to the cool kid’s table…”

I’ve always been this way.
I don’t know why...

I kept buying albums long after cassettes had taken over (even to the point of buying albums and recording them on cassettes so I could listen to them in the car)…I stayed with cassettes way past the inception of CD (Even when people gave me free CDs, I refused)

I’ve always hated spending money on something just because culture tells me to…

We still have a ‘square’ television…with fake wood paneling on the side. (LG and Vizio are not going to get my money)

I will never sit in the driver’s seat of a mini-van that I own…

But today, I cracked.

I gave in to the pressure.

Please forgive me all you fans of 8 Track Tapes out there…

Today, I bought an iPhone.

My friend Greg Adkins’ immediate response: “Welcome to the cool kid’s table”…oh well, there’s always a first time for everything.

Yeah but in the 4 hours that have passed since I told you that, the iPhone is now no longer cool. You should have bought a Palm Pre. Sorry.

you shouldn't be disappointed. in fact, your multi-tasking nature is going to love it.

i guess you won't be loading any of your rich mullins songs onto itunes and into the phone, though, eh?
