Everything through the same lens…

Last weekend, part II…
As I mentioned in my previous post, Saturday was ‘premiere’ day for our leadership community as far as 4 Market Square is concerned.

Well, Sunday was the day to share with everyone else. We had some ‘family time’ at the end of the gathering on Sunday morning and shared this opportunity we believe God has given us. (this 10 minute talk will be available on our podcast very soon)

We have a lens at Crossings through which we look at everything. We want all that we do and say to be seen in terms of ‘helping people find their way back to God’.

Obviously there is much involved with that. We are all finding our way back to God in some sense. There is that desire to be restored, to be made whole through this understanding and relationship with Jesus, trusting our lives to Him in all of us, whether realized or not.

This opportunity, to be a part of this project at 4 Market Square, is something that had to be filtered through this lens. It has to ultimately be about HPFTWBTG, and if it’s not, then it shouldn’t be for us.

I know it will be a ‘cool & hip’ place to be, I know that it involve less work to set up each week, that it will be a shorter trip for about 2/3s of our people, but if us being there doesn’t fit with us being a faith community that looks like, acts like, think likes, and talks like Jesus, then I don’t care to do it.

I believe, completely and absolutely, that God has given us an opportunity through Crossings, and now through Crossings at Market Square, to be a part of His dream come true, this dream, that through Jesus, brings His people back to Him…
