A season of dance…

My daughter Meghan is in the 6th grade at Karns Middle School.

She has danced most of her life, mostly ballet, jazz & some tap.

Last spring she decided to try out for the dance team at the middle school. After a week or two of intense practicing, rehearsing and auditioning for Randy, Paula and Simon, she made the team. (I always knew she would, but the tension and excitement the night she received ‘the call’ was highly dramatic and exhilarating.)

Well, after months of rehearsing, last night was their ‘premiere’ at the KMS girls & boys game. (By the way, the girls game was 28-0 at half-time in favor of Karns. Boy, the excitement)

The dancers were spectacular. Meghan (as any good father would say about their daughter) was the best one out there.

So the journey has begun…what does this mean for you out there in blogdom? It means you will get to read my regular updates on my daughters dancing, but even more so, (especially humorous I am assuming), regular updates on the life and times of boys and girls middle school basketball. Prepare thyself.

During last night's half time of the Vandy game, some fourth graders had a scrimmage. After several minutes of play, the "game" ended. The score was White Team 2, Red Team 0. It was fantastic.
