My cell phone, my year…
Those who know me know my inadequacies when it comes to technology, gadgets, etc. I’m not real good with those things, and I’m really okay with that…Every cell phone I have owned has always been a great source of adventure (and usually a good teaching illustration as well).
My current cell phone has been no different.
I have a Motorola Razor phone (which I hear makes me very ‘hip’). I like it. It’s small and can fit into my pocket (I just don’t think it’s me to wear a holster on my hip with my phone in it).
Well, I’ve only been able to talk on my phone on speaker phone for the last 3 months or so. Which makes for some awkward moments when I forget to let the person on the other end know they’re being heard by everyone in the room.
It’s my fault, I assume, that it’s been broken. And definitely my fault that I haven’t gotten it fixed. I just didn’t want to take the time to go get it fixed.
Well, I finally did. They didn’t even look at the phone, simply told me to call a 1-800 number which I did and they said they’d send me a new phone.
My new phone arrived two days ago, and, believe it or not, I was able to transfer my phone numbers over on my SIM card (look at me talking all ‘tech language’). But I wasn’t able to transfer all my pictures over to the new phone. The Cingular help line said I wouldn’t be able to. But, they talked me through how to send each picture to my e-mail one at a time (they said I couldn’t do them all at once).
It took me 2 ½ hours yesterday. (Which is about how long it will probably take to read this post. Sorry for the length) But it was all the pictures I had taken since last May when I got the phone, so I didn’t want to lose them.
Since I worked so hard to save my pictures…I thought I would post some of them here for all to see.
It’s kind of my year in review via my Razor phone.
It’s kind of amazing to think back to all the places I’ve been in the past few months, and all the amazing things I’ve been able to see and experience. And almost all of them with beautiful family…
Here they are...in no particular order. (sorry no pics from our trip to San Francisco, we used a real camera for those)
Which is your favorite?
My children at the Billy Graham Center in Wheaton. A great place...I didn't think I'd like it, but loved it.
The picture above and below is from my trip to Wrigley with my dear friend Jim Schmotzer from Bellingham, WA

I like the one of the two ladies in your life only because of the statue in the background. (I mean, your two women are beautiful and all, but the statue just really creeps me out!)
