It’s been a long sabbatical…

I’m back (I think), from a self-imposed sabbatical from blogging…no deep theological reason for the four months off, just needed a rest.

So, four months…that’s a long time…a lot has gone on…I will try over the next few days to write about some of the things that have been a part of my story over the last few months (things I’m sure I would have blogged about had I not been so delinquent)…

2.14.10…

We celebrated our 3rd Birthday at Crossings! (Woo Hoo indeed!) Once again, by the grace of God and Eli’s Cheesecake out of Chicago we celebrated with the best cheesecake in the world. (below is the video that Eli’s made for our service that day)

It was a wonderful day of celebrating and being reminded of our ‘soul’.

I read from Entrepreneur Magazine and an article on New Belgium Brewing Co. and their CEO Kim Jordan:
In less than two decades, she had increased production from a mere 220 barrels to a staggering 567,000 barrels. Employee ranks have swelled above 300, and the brewery has had to move into bigger facilities twice. Today, New Belgium is housed in a gleaming $100 million, 210,000-square-foot facility.

But it still has the soul of a startup. And a CEO who believes that is the secret to its success.

Regardless of what happens over the next year…two years, five years, the next decade…whether there are 10 people who worship together or 10,000 we must keep that soul of a startup.

Our soul, in case you're wondering....(by the way, I'm just assuming it’s a little different than the New Belgium Brewing Co.) has always been and will always be to be a faith community helping people find their way back to God.
